Sweet Serenity

Change in the Air

Summer has come to a close.

Fall has sprung its first leaves.

Colder weather chills the morning air.

And thankfully, I still think of just one,

One person during these frosty nights.

And as promised, I will think of you.

These precious memories, are a welcome

 escape to the recent terrors of life.

And do to recent events, I find it hard to 

think warmly of most anyone.

But one thing does remain the same, 

you still warm my autumn evenings with 

just the memory of your smile.

I thank God, that I can still smile at the thought

of you...that tears don't flood my eyes when I think

of that year...that some how I can still think of you as

a great escape...that you are still a unsung hero is this

dark dreary world.

I miss you, and I send you my love.
